Truth be known, I first approached my husband, at the gym and asked him if he “needed a spot”. Good line, eh?  Well from there our romance blossomed and it proved to be a tedious one at that.  It took Billy & me awhile to accept that it was time to settle down but with a little nudging, we both complied! Everything happened fast, with only an 8 month courtship, the proposal was completely unexpected.  I came home to beautiful red roses, strewn upon the floor with scented candles to light my path.  As I got to the top of the stairs and opened our bedroom door, presented before me was a white fluffy polar bear, sitting amongst roses. There was a light shining on what would be words that I can still hear today, “ Shannon , will you marry me,” rang in my ears.  It was Billy's voice recorded on this little speaker in the bears paw and as I turned around, he was on one knee. 

After that the chaos started! We decided to have our wedding on my parent's property, so a garden wedding was in the works. The first thing we needed was a tent!  We met with Advanced Tent and no matter what we wanted, they could provide! When we showed interest in having the drapery hung from the ceiling, their first recommendation was Eventure. 

I immediately called and set up an appointment with Rachel and David.  As we drove to the appointment, I already had a good feeling from my first conversation with Rachel. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by this beautifully bright couple and I knew that they would look after us and have the enthusiasm that we needed.  I am by no means a “girlie girl” and from the moment that I started talking with Rachel, I knew that I could give her my ideas and away she went. She had no signs of hesitation and she was willing to get whatever it was that I envisioned.  As the day got closer, I knew that if I had a new idea that I could call Rachel and with a flick of her magic wand, she would get things done.  We had a lot of bumps along the way and I'm sure if you ask Rachel she'll let you know about the stressful conversations and how amazing she was at calming me down and helping keep my spirits high!  Our final meeting before the wedding was all the last minute details and again, they delivered. I felt completely safe in their hands and I knew that our wedding would be the wedding of the century.

Finally the day was here and I was actually getting ready at my parents house.  I decided to go down to the tent in the morning and it was amazing to see the transformations that were going on. Yet, I still would not see the “Grande Finale” until later that evening. 

We never saw the inside of the tent finished, until we were introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Jonas!  As we entered the tent, I was in sheer amazement as shivers ran down my spine. I could never have imagined that my parent's back yard could be changed into a whole new world. The warmth and love that we felt, as we entered was amazing and overwhelming.  Rachel and David had transformed a barren tent, into something that truly represented us and let people know how strong and everlasting our love is. Everyone felt the warmth of this large blanket that wrapped itself around us and expressed our love. 

Rachel made us feel like we were the only people on Earth and that this was truly our day. For that, I am forever grateful. Thanks to both of you.
