When Aman and I got engaged, I knew that there were so many details to consider in planning a four day traditional Indian wedding, but one thing I knew would be easy, was choosing my decorator.
I first came across Rachel at the Canada Bridal Show in 2005, when my sister was planning her wedding. We instantly loved her display at the show, and I knew she was the right decorator for my sister. Three years later, when it came to my turn, Aman and I didn't bother to shop around, but rather we contacted Rachel.
I didn't really have a vision at the time, except to incorporate the colours of fuschia and orange into my decor. I wanted our Indian wedding to be traditional, yet modern. I was a little nervous about working with such bold colours, afraid that they may be overpowering, yet I wanted to embrace the richness so characteristic of Indian weddings.
