Rachel, we can't thank you enough for all the hard work that went into the flowers and decorations for our wedding.
Will and I met at a New Years party his brother was throwing in Ottawa in 2007. We spoke the entire evening and started playing scrabble together in the coming week. Will finally asked me out for coffee one month later, which I couldn't refuse. We were inseparable from that moment and Will, who was supposed to move back to Nova Scotia for his job, resigned in favour of making Ottawa his permanent home.
Later in the year, Will and I went to Halifax to visit with his family. Having lived in Halifax myself a few years back, Will and I had a date at my favourite restaurant and walked around the harbour front where he surprised me with a proposal. Our engagement was announced over the Christmas holidays.
We finally selected a venue, a restaurant, in April. In terms of flowers and decorations, we weren't sure what we wanted since the restaurant and its surroundings already had a lot of character. We met with Rachel who had been responsible for the spectacular flowers and decorations at my sister's wedding in 2004, and she had a clear vision on how to enhance the atmosphere of the restaurant to make our day extra special. Since we still weren't sure what we wanted, we told Rachel what we didn't want. She visited the venue and ensured that the floral arrangements and decor complimented the venue.
Rachel, we can't thank you enough for all the hard work that went into the flowers and decorations for our wedding. It was truly outstanding. I give my dried bouquet of flowers a longing look ever time I glance up at them. |
