Weddings at Taboo Resort in Muskoka always excite our design team. Dan and Ali’s wedding was no exception. Their gorgeous wedding was featured in Elegant Weddings Magazine last spring and we thought we’d share it with you too. Dan and Ali are opposites. While Ali loves all things soft, vintage and pretty, Dan, an architect prefers a more modern feel. Our design challenge was to combine the two elements all inspired by the beauty of the Muskoka region. The aisle was accented with vintage lanterns and aisle hooks that held mason jars filled with fresh flowers. These were combined with large fresh floral arrangements in clear sleek glassware for a more modern look. Birch logs filled the vases and were the perfect Muskoka compliment. Guests danced the night away under the softly lit purple and green lanterns. The orchids in the centrepieces were designed on an angle for a trendy look.
