Adam and I met two and a half years ago through a blind date pulled together by his sister – my hairdresser at the time. I remember going to my hair appointment and chatting with her about dates I had been on and how I was “over” the whole process. At the end of my appointment she said “Would you be interested in a blind date?” A little cautious of the whole idea I asked a few key questions to find out who she was referring to. Sure enough it was her brother Adam. Adam and I had both just come out of very long relationships and neither was looking for anything long term. The phone call came through a couple of days later which then led to our first date. We were instantly connected and knew very early – although neither of us admitted it for some time, that this was it. We had found the person we were meant to spend the rest of our lives with. It was perfect.

After a year of dating Adam and I had planned a trip to New York City. Excited at the prospect of a weekend away with Adam, great found and fabulous shopping I was packed and ready to go. Upon our arrival at the airport Adam handed me a small gift bag. Inside the bag was a book titled “Discover Paris 2008”. My first thought was, what great reading material for the plane – we had been talking about wanting to go to Paris. He looked at me and said, “we’re going”.
I was still in shock at the thought of spending the weekend in Paris! Off we went on a whirlwind trip that changed both our lives forever. After a full first day in Paris we ended our tour at the Eiffel Tower where Adam proposed. I was overwhelmed with emotion and completely blown back that someone would plan such a wonderful and thoughtful engagement for me! I couldn’t believe how lucky I was. We spent the next two days on cloud nine from our engagement and being in Paris.
Upon returning from our trip to Paris I was immediately in plan mode. I had very specific visions of what I wanted and just needed to find that person who could bring them to life and pull it altogether. Rachel and her team were the perfect fit. I had seen a room decorated at Hockley by Rachel and her team during one of my visits, it was a jaw dropping moment and I knew I wanted the same. My first visit was with Jesse and it was better than I could have ever imagined. She was detailed and attentive and listened to every idea we had. I’m still amazed how they were able to pull together one consistent look based on all the information I gave. I wanted the fairytale magazine wedding. A lasting impression. Both are exactly what I got.
To this day I still have guests raving about the tent, flowers and reception hall. It was breathtaking. Rachel and her team managed to provide the edgy feel I wanted while maintaining the classy touches I requested. They exceeded my expectations and were the most attentive vendor I dealt with.
