  Having worked in the event industry for several years, it was important to me to have a wedding unlike any I had ever seen.

Before I met my country cowboy, the closest I had ever gotten to the “western life” was country music - I didn’t even own a pair of cowboy boots! Dale has always enjoyed the cowboy lifestyle so I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce this love of the western life to our guests – through a western “hoedown” wedding! Thus, realizing the unique and original wedding I had always dreamed of!

In all honesty, I was a little overwhelmed and concerned as to how to keep this country wedding classy and elegant, as there is a fine line between cool country western and tacky country western! Having known and worked with Rachel for over 10 years, I was completely confident that she would totally capture that cool western feel. In spite of knowing Rachel and the whole RAC “standard” that we uphold for each of our weddings, she still managed to surprise me in a way that I didn’t think possible. Since I work to capture the visions of so many other brides myself, it was hard to imagine that I too would feel that sense of surprise and sheer joy at my own wedding – it was more beautiful than I could have imagined!

From our cowboy boot centerpieces, to the hay scattered aisle and right down to the rustic, western feeling bouquets and lassoes, Rachel and our team completely captured and created the most unique, extraordinary and memorable affair I could have ever hoped for. Snow Valley Ski Resort was the perfect setting for our western shindig, complete with rustic chairs and overall relaxed and natural country atmosphere.
With Rachel’s added décor and draping touches, it truly helped to transform our venue to the “Old West” we were hoping to achieve. The guests saddled their horses, put on their best western attire, and prepared for a day of horsin’ around - boots, chaps and cowboy hats….nothin’ else mattered!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch – just kidding! – in all seriousness, the entire experience working with Rachel on a personal level for the décor of my own wedding, was unforgettable, and something that I will always be thankful for.

On that night, I felt like the special bride that Rachel makes every other bride of ours feel like. Regardless of the fact that our wedding happened to fall on one of the busiest weekends that summer, Rachel, David, Jessy and the team worked through it all and still managed to attend the wedding on time!
